AI usage policy
The collection of scientific works “Theoretical and Methodological Problems of Raising Children and Schoolchildren” (hereinafter referred to as the Collection) recognizes the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) tools in supporting scientific activity, in particular in the fields of education, pedagogy, social sciences and interdisciplinary research. At the same time, the editorial policy of the Collection provides for clear regulation and transparency of the use of such tools in order to ensure academic integrity, scientific reliability and responsibility of authors.
Within the framework of this policy, the term “AI tools” covers both generative language models (such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Bing AI, etc.) and other automated artificial intelligence systems used in the process of creating scientific texts.
The use of AI in scientific articles submitted to the Collection is permitted under the following conditions:
full understanding by the author(s) of the scope and purpose of using AI tools;
open and clear disclosure of the fact of their use;
maintaining full authorial responsibility for the content, data, analytical conclusions, and academic integrity of the article.
Artificial intelligence tools cannot be listed as authors or co-authors of a scientific article, since they cannot bear legal or ethical responsibility, guarantee the absence of plagiarism, or own intellectual property rights.
The Editorial Board of the Collection allows the use of AI tools within the limits that do not replace the author's main scientific work.
Permissible use:
language editing: correction of grammar, style, and vocabulary;
translation: machine translation with further editing by the author(s);
structuring: assistance in forming the logical structure of the text, identifying key points, formulating headings, etc., with subsequent authorial refinement;
assistance in generalization: use of AI for the initial formation of bibliographic or theoretical reviews only as an auxiliary tool; the final version must be the result of critical analysis and verification of sources by the author(s);
technical support: automatic generation of bibliographies, references, tables, etc.
Unacceptable uses:
generating significant parts of the text (e.g., introduction, theoretical analysis, conclusions) without critical editing and verification by the author(s);
using AI to fabricate or falsify data, model results, or conduct statistical analysis without methodological justification;
including fabricated sources or references in the bibliography or text of the article;
using AI to write the entire article or simulate scientific argumentation.
Use of AI-generated images
The collection does not accept for publication images (photographs, illustrations, diagrams, graphs, infographics, etc.) created using AI, except in cases where:
the image was obtained legally from partner organizations and meets copyright requirements;
the article is directly related to AI research and the image is used for a scientific purpose;
the image is based on verified scientific data and is clearly labeled as AI-generated.
All exceptions are reviewed by the editorial board on a case-by-case basis. This restriction does not apply to tables, charts, flowcharts, or other text or numerical visual elements, provided they are properly labeled as using AI.
