GUIDELINES OF SOCIAL SUPPORT FOR FAMILIES IN DIFFICULT LIFE CIRCUMSTANCES

Abstract

The article reveals strategic guidelines for supporting families in difficult life circumstances. A review of scientific sources on the research problem is carried out.
The purpose of the article is the study of modern guidelines and strategies of social support for families in difficult life circumstances through the analysis of the content of social support at the state level and the latest guidelines of social support presented through the projects and programs of charitable foundations and public organizations.
To achieve the goal and solve the problems, a set of methods was involved: theoretical methods – study, analysis and generalization of sociological, pedagogical and psychological literature on the studied issues; empirical methods: the study of the primary experience of Ukrainian public organizations and charitable foundations for supporting families in difficult life circumstances.
The attention is focused on the disclosure of the types of social support for the family and the forms of implementation of such support are specified. The legislative basis for providing social support to the family in Ukraine is analyzed.
The article notes the activity of non-governmental organizations and charitable foundations that work with children and families in difficult life circumstances. In particular, the direction of such funds as “Unbreakable Ukraine”, “Future for Ukraine” was investigated. The activities of the public organization “League of Modern Women” in the city of Sumy regarding the support and protection of the best interests of the child during the war period have been defined and specified. The content of the organization's preventive work (preventive structured programs) is presented and the aspect of case management is described. It is noted that the NGO “League of Modern Women” is a partner organization of the international humanitarian organization Save the Children in the Sumy region.
In the conclusions, it is noted that currently social support for families is determined and actualized by solving urgent needs that arise during the war period. Attention was also focused on the importance of the activities of public organizations and charitable foundations in the aspect of prioritizing the support of the Ukrainian family.
The novelty of the research is to determine the importance of family support, studying the experience of implementing such activities both at the level of state and non-state services, organizations and foundations.
