GENERALIZATION OF THE STUDY RESULTS OF THE PROBLEM OF FORMING STUDENTS’ PROFESSIONAL AND VALUE ORIENTATION TOWARDS WORK
Abstract
The article is devoted to the problem of formation of professional and value orientations of students towards work. The purpose of the article is to highlight the generalized results of the study of the problem of the formation of professional and value orientations towards work among of teenagers and high school students (who study at institutions of general secondary education).
The main stages of the implementation of scientific research work on the topic “Formation of professional and value orientations towards labor activity among teenagers and high school students” are outlined. In particular, the theoretical and methodological principles and starting points are highlighted the formation of students’ professional and value orientations towards work in modern socio-economic conditions.
Clarification of the essence of the key concept of the study, definition of its structure made it possible to choose a set of diagnostic methods for empirically determining the levels of its formation. The author verifies the technology of forming students’ professional and value orientations toward work in modern socio-economic conditions as a set of ways, techniques, principles and methods of career guidance based on the methodological arsenal of a person-oriented approach. Moreover, they meet criteria such as dialogicity, activity creativity character, focus on supporting individual development, presenting the student with the necessary space of freedom, for making independent decisions, creativity, choosing the content and means of professional self-determination and further professional development. The essence of this technology is based on the reflexive-volitional mechanisms of an individual who is self-determined in the profession.
The results of the ascertainment stage of the research are presented and interpreted. A number of factors that negatively affect the effectiveness of the formation of students’ professional and value orientations towards work are highlighted. According to the results of the formative stage of the study, a conclusion was made about the controllability of the process of forming professional value orientations and the effectiveness of the positive impact on it of the pedagogical technology proposed for the implementation of the formation of students’ professional and value orientations towards work.
The analysis of the psychological and pedagogical sources on the study made it possible to generalize about the relevance and identity of the study results of the formation of students’ professional and value orientations.
The conclusions emphasize that the effectiveness of the introduction of pedagogical technology for the formation of students’ professional and value orientations towards work in the educational process will depend on the systematicity, integrity of the proposed content, forms and methods
The practical significance of the article is that its materials can be used in the process of professional orientation of teenagers and high school students.
